MICC is an acronym for the compounds: L-Methionine, Inositol, Choline and Cyanocobalamin. These are lipotropic agents which help with the breakdown of fat during metabolism in the body. Often referred to as “fat burning” injections, these components, especially inositol and choline, have been found to imp prove mental function and feelings of depression.
Methionine: is one of nine essential amino acids in humans (provided by food), Methionine is required for growth and tissue repair. A sulfur-containing amino acid, methionine improves the tone and pliability of skin, hair, and strengthens nails. Involved in many detoxifying processes, sulfur provided by methionine protects cells from pollutants, slows cell aging, and is essential for absorption and bioavailability of selenium and zinc. Methionine chelates heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, aiding their excretion. It also acts as a lipotropic agent and prevents excess fat buildup in the liver. As SAMe (S-adenysylmethionine), methionine has been considered an antidepressant.
Inositol: is a small molecule with structural similarity to glucose. It is a vitamin-like compound (pseudovitamin) that is sometimes said to belong to the class of B-complex vitamins and it is involved in cellular signaling and as a component of cell membranes.
Choline: is important as a precursor of acetylcholine, as a methyl donor in various metabolic processes, and in lipid metabolism and prevents excessive fat build up in the liver. Cyanocobalamin: Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is necessary for hematopoiesis, neural metabolism, DNA and RNA production, carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism. B12 improves iron functions in the metabolic cycle and assists folic acid in choline synthesis.
The MICC shot is recommended once per week.
Human-based glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1) such as Semaglutide (compounded) is prescribed as an adjunct to a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity for chronic weight management in adults with an initial body mass index (BMI) that is considered outside a healthy range. Possible side effects:
If you notice other side effects not listed above, contact your healthcare provider. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.GLP-1 may cause other serious issues such as possible thyroid tumors, including cancer. Tell your health care provider if you get a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath. These may be symptoms of thyroid cancer. In studies with rodents, Semaglutide caused thyroid tumors, including thyroid cancer. It is not known if Semaglutide/ GLP-1 will cause thyroid tumors, or a type of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in people. Report adverse side effects to your clinician. In the event of any emergency, call 911 immediately.
Semaglutide injections are once weekly. We start at a low dose and titrate up as tolerated. Valid blood test results are required for initial appointments. Blood work must be recent and no older than 6 months.
